@Jazz: Whatever I changed, it was only to meet him halfway. It just seems so much more when you start to count, and then you fail to see what he’s changed for you. This post is actually more of a reflection of all that I endured in the past with less worthy men. I admit there are moments when some of it holds true to the here and now, especially in the extreme moments of my drama queen-ness, but really, I got myself a keeper right here.

@Bill: Thanks, Bill! I do agree with you. Sometimes, though, communication isn’t as easy as it sounds. I, for one, am not particularly good at it verbally and tend to get easily hysterical; hence, why I write.

Hi Iris i really like this post. You are a very deep person with very good writing skills. I am not sure if i agree with you though. Love is a two way street. The two people will never see eye to all the time but each other can state there opinons and go from there.

yeah, don’t use “Indeed” so much at the start of every sentence and you’ll sound less Victorian hehe.

Anyway sounds like you need to listne to some of them old Billie Holiday songs “My man done did me wroooong . . . ”

They’re incredible songs, very tragic, all about his badly her man treated her but she would stick by him nevertheless. Why? Because she loves him. We have a phrase for that now “Battered Wife Syndrome”. But Billie? She just sung it.

As for my two cents, one might say that you only emerge whole when you stop believing in forever and start believing in . . . yourself. Love yourself! LOL
