When it comes to makeup, I’m about as adept Michael J. Fox with a scalpel. Okay, that’s not really funny, but I wasn’t trying to be. Really. Because of this, I really have no real reason to want the limited edition Shu Uemura Mika Hearts Shu Portable Brush Set that The Beauty Writer is giving away out of the goodness of her heart.
That is, until I realized that Mother’s Day is literally just around the corner. I honestly couldn’t think of a better present for my gorgeous and always perfectly made-up mother. She would love the delightful array of brushes that I can’t, for the life of me, figure out what to do with on my own. Personally, though, I think she would love what The Beauty Writer is giving away for second prize even more: a Jurlique Maintain Balance Introductory Set. That’s because she’s forever on the lookout for new skin care, umm, thingies.
That’s why here I am, just a few minutes shy of the 6 PM deadline, blogging, linking, and commenting away! After all, wouldn’t it be great to give mum something different for Mother’s Day this year, apart from the usual chocolates and greeting card? I definitely think so! I never ever win anything mind you, but hey, hope springs eternal. If I don’t, I can always get her yet another Hershey bar. (Just kidding.)
