I miss my mother. Not only that, I worry about her, too.

It seems that every time we chat, she’s either freezing, or thawing out. Case in point, any given day in Calgary, Canada can go from this:

That’s not good, if you’ve never lived away from the tropics all your life.

About a week ago, she saw her first snowfall . . . and autumn has barely even set in! She hasn’t seen snow since, but I’ve told her to take extra clothing with her everywhere, just in case the weather changes drastically again. Good thing we had the foresight to buy heavy winter coats from our favorite thrift shop. It would’ve cost her a fortune to have to buy them from Canada! I just wish we were able to get her cashmere sweaters, but there really wasn’t much to be found.

But climate shock aside, doesn’t she look like she belongs?
